Vegas. Sin City. It’s a location you either adore or despise. I fall into the latter camp for the most part, but I must say that the city leaves a lasting effect, regardless of your opinion, and it’s a great starting point for visiting some of the most stunning National Parks in the United States. In Las Vegas, luxury hotels might not be the first thing that come to mind because the city has a reputation for dazzling tourists with enormous hotels that are nearly cosmic in size. Las Vegas is home to seven of the ten biggest hotels in the world. However, over the past ten years, a number of opulent, boutique-style hotels have built on the Strip, seemingly catering only to the discriminating visitor. Even if what occurs in Vegas remains in Vegas, you may still boast about staying at one of the following extravagant hotels, which are among my top ten picks for the most luxurious hotels and resorts in Las Vegas. The slideshow is followed by additional information. Do you agree, or do you have a preferred hotel in Las Vegas that wasn’t on my list? Take my poll below or leave it in the comments.
1. LAS VEGAS DELANO
Situated within a short distance from Mandalay Bay, the Delano Las Vegas is a smoke-free, all-suite luxury hotel that opened its doors in 2014. With its distinctive sand-meets-water design, Delano combines the distinctive energy only seen on the Las Vegas Strip with recognizable aspects of its Delano South Beach hotel. The hotel features lively social areas including Della’s cooking, where “historic farmhouse meets urban kitchen,” and Franklin, an eclectic lounge. Inspired by the desert setting of Delano Las Vegas and the global hotel portfolio of Morgans Hotel Group, the spa incorporates the calming qualities of locally produced ingredients.
2. THE AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION OF THE COSMOPOLITAN OF LAS VEGAS
Despite being an older premium resort on the Strip, The Cosmopolitan continues to provide excellent service. Large, residential-style living areas with private patios and stunning views of the Las Vegas cityscape are available to visitors. With a unique restaurant collection that includes world-class chefs like David Myers, Scott Conant, and José Andrés making their Vegas debuts, dining is redefined. A thriving nightlife scene captivates perceptions, while chic design and art appeal to cultural senses. With three different pool experiences to select from, the pool gives visitors unparalleled service and expansive views. Reimagine your luxury resort experience by combining it all with a diverse array of carefully chosen boutiques, a 100,000 square foot casino, Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub, and the tranquility of the Sahra Spa & Hamman.
3. LAS VEGAS SLS
Legends including Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and Elvis Presley performed and played at the legendary Sahara Hotel, which underwent a $415 million restoration before reopening in August 2014 as the SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The Sahara’s distinctive emblem is featured on the new carpeting immediately inside the valet entry as a nod to the original hotel. The majority of the property has been completely renovated, with the exception of the old parking garage. The hotel was created by an architectural team led by French designer Philippe Starck and features 1,600 rooms as well as 40,000 square feet of convention space. It includes the brand’s first casino, a reimagining of SBE’s original nightlife concept Shelter, and two of SLS’s hallmark eateries, The Bazaar by José Andrés and Katsuya by Starck.
